Like how he could hardly say a bad word about the football program during a 3-9 season. I thought it was funny when he started in on Nebrasketball negatively a few months later. Pretty telling
Do newspaper people not make much these days? I am just wondering what the attraction would be to switch to 247, Tater Island etc.? Having to hassle teenagers to give you the time of day to discuss whether they liked their visit and who is in their top 20 seems like a special kind of hell

I don’t think anyone in media does outside major cities or national guys - my buddy was the main sports guy at a Lincoln TV station some years ago and barely made a living wage. Ended up pursuing a totally different field.

I think it has more to do with print being a dying media along with the World Herald and Journal Star being owned by the same company. Sipple probably has what, 10 years, before he thinks about retirement? Probably better job security with Sean.
No way the Tater Island experiment ends well… for Dean or Sip. For the consumer it will be glorious. I see it ending much like Clouses’s tenure ended. Hope Sipple has lawyered up heading into his new gig.
I just don’t see Sip punching the time clock and taking orders from Dean. Robin is young and is used to answering to Dean. Sip is a one
man show. I’d imagine Shannon Terry and Jeremy Crabtree will have a little sit down with Dean and tell him to just let Sip be Sip, they’ll handle him.
