I remember when important, current class recruiting happened in September. Now the biggest visits will be unofficial guys for next year's class.

That's a good idea need to keep him away from the RRS crowd as much as possible.

Does anyone have any kind of update on where we stand in our 2026 class? We are last in the Big 10 right now. Does anyone know what our plan is for this class?

This was mentioned in a previous thread, but the 247 Team Talent Composite was released last week. Prior to the 2023 season, we had 24 blue chip players on our roster. Prior to the 2024 season, we had 24 blue chip players on our roster. Prior to the 2025 season, we jumped up to 35 blue chip players on our roster. So we made quite the talent jump in just one season.

Ultimately, if we are going to be a playoff contender each year in this new college football landscape, we are going to have to get to that blue chip ratio. We need to get to around 43+ blue chip players on our roster to reach the blue chip ratio.

We are going to lose 7 blue chip players to graduation after this season, which will put us down to 28. And right now we only have 2 commitments from blue chip players in our 2026 class, which gets us back to 30. I like to think that we could add at least 2-3 more blue chip high school recruits to our 2026 class. I assume that after the season, we are going to go hard on blue chip transfers so that we can make a run in 2026 for DR15's junior season.

Not sure however it has to be a small class pending significantly shearing down the rFr and SO classes (70 player in those two classes). Not much noise on targets for the class. Maybe they’re hoping to win big and flip players and/or go to the portal again?
