Nebraska surging with No. 1 interior OL
Rivals No. 1 2027 interior OL
Albert Simien made his third visit to
Nebraska to catch the Huskers’ home opener.
Matt Rhule has pressed the right buttons with the blue-chipper and his family. His time around the staff, including
Donovan Raiola, has yielded positive reviews.
“I feel good about my fit at Nebraska,” Simien told Rivals. “Since talking it over with both coaches, including Coach Raola, we’ve talked about how I’ve been adjusting to playing offense since this is my second year playing on that side of the ball. They have given me great advice and football knowledge.”
Nebraska is bumping shoulders with
Texas A&M and the in-state Tigers for the elite OL prospect. Rhule and the Huskers have assured themselves a seat at the table moving forward.
“Coach Rhule and his staff have truly impressed us through their consistent and meaningful communication,” Albert’s mother
Nicole Simien told
Rivals. “They regularly check in with Albert — not just to talk football, but to follow up on past conversations and see how he’s doing as a person. That kind of attention makes a big difference.”
“Altogether, it’s the combination of the coaching staff’s approach and the community’s warmth that makes the Huskers feel far from a typical program.”
Hudson visited LSU.
Among the top 2027 in-state targets on campus over the weekend were No. 1 TE
Ahmad Hudson. I’ve joined Wiltftong with an early prediction for LSU to reel in the five-star prospect after another visit logged. Hudson will be back in town for the Florida tilt and the Tigers have checked multiple boxes for the legacy target to date.
“They just made me feel like a top priority as always,” Hudson said. “I’m feeling great about them. As I get closer to committing, I’m trying to give everyone the best chance. LSU and Nebraska have been recruiting me the hardest. My biggest thing is communication and they have both done a great job with that.”
Hudson will come off the board in July following official visits.
