I saw some stat on Twitter that Nebraska was 19-37 over 6 years but according to ESPN FPI or some other metric, they should have been 37-19 over the same period when you take out dumb coaching errors and finding innovative ways to fuck up at the end of a game.
5-22 in one-score games in 6 years is statistically nearly impossible.
The talent to be a .500-.700 team has been there the entire time, dating back to Mike Riley’s first year. Even a small improvement in mental fortitude and Scott Frost is still our coach with a .650 record and 4-5 bowl games to show for it.
This year, however, we have the roster to be a .400-.500 team and it looks like we are going to exceed that.
