Schaefer From 247

Stark contrast from Mckewon asking grace for frost in year 4 in a thread on RSS this afternoon. Saying that he finally has a real AD to tell him how to do things 😂 a little late for that Sam JFC… If frost needs an AD to tell him how to coach and what assistants to hire why the fuck is he coaching at all?
Wow, seems like a 180 from his post game recap… wonder what his post said 🤔

This was in response to a thread where the OP was saying how much the players care and how they really want to turn this around.

“HC cares too.

But only he said half of Nebraska's gameplan got thrown out.

Assistants were fired UP Tuesday.

SF deserves some grace. He just got a real boss 45 days ago. And I loved Moos as a guy! But, you know, there was time to put a fireplace in the AD office, and there wasn't time to have the hardest convo of all, which is: Do you have the very best people around you? Have you called your network of mentors and asked them, hey, is there a guy in your galaxy who you maybe don't have room for as an assistant, but could be an position assistant in my building? That's how Chinander got Tuioti, who's done a nice damn job.

Here's one thing that's true anywhere: It's not gonna make anybody feel better for a leader to say "Well, you know, I stuck with ya, even if I wasn't sure about ya for years, and it didn't work for any of us that I did, but let's pour one out for loyalty, huh?"

It's the same with players. Nebraska has to be real clear with its expectations of how you get on the field, and then refuse to talk up anyone at all until you know they'll be on the field.”

Who is HuskerHomie?

is he cool or no?

Is Homie the same as Boiler?

The idea that an AD would have to hold a football coach's hand through evaluating his staff really crunches my toms

Without knowing anything, except that Sam is a beat writer for Nebraska...

I bet Sam sold Hopium all spring/summer long about unproven players, who haven’t seen the field, to hope-fiends who are in desperate need a 12-step program.

Yet, still wrote that on RSS without a stitch of self-reflection.

Im just surprised writers are saying this stuff like there is time to for the staff to reverse course and magically change how they’ve done everything since they’ve been here.

Thanks for sharing this but this is a bunch of horse shit from Sam. I understand that Frost is a newer coach but if he wasn’t getting that type of advice from Moos he should have been able to figure that out on his own. And if he wasn’t able to figure it out on his own then he shouldn’t have a future here.
