Just heard this one today and it's just as good. Schaef quickly becoming one of the best interviews of the local scribes as he's about 90% of the way into DGAF mode. Meaning he's not afraid to blow up the coaches.

He's now saying, explicitly, that the NU coaching staff is not good. He doesn't dance around it like McKewon or Sipple does... They were taking about why everyone in Nebraska falls for the hype every year. And he literally said "I've finally come to the realization that this coaching staff is not good."

Then he talked about how fucked we are for the 2023 class and he said "I don't even know what the coaches have to pitch anymore." Then he said "the coaches in 2022 - if these guys are still here then - are going to struggle on the recruiting trail."

Very refreshing to hear a local guy tell it straight. You can tell how done an NU HC is by the amount of local scribes going for the jugular. No one is really doing it yet, but Dirk essentially said 'it's over'. Sipple is always the last to turn on you. If he's turning on the HC then you know the HC has already been fired behind.

N fans are smart, and they knew the Illini game was the biggest in years for multiple reasons. Told my wife last night that this was the 1st time since I was born a Nebraska fan that I experienced genuine anger the 1st couple days after a loss. I'm usually just pissed and disappointed, but get over it pretty quickly.

Pretty much summarizes what he kept saying over and over....and Schaefer is right. I just sent a scathing text to my brother asking him WTF is Frost's problem.

Is he losing it mentally? Just when I think he can't say something more ridiculous in public, he says something more ridiculous. It's head scratching and almost makes me wonder if he wants it to be over. He'd NEVER admit that........well, he probably would admit that he wants it to be over, but you have to wonder.

After seeing a few recent pics and hearing his head scratching presser comments, I do wonder if he is completely cracking under the pressure. He has no idea how to fix this team's problems... that is very clear.

Yeah...Jesus that was pathetic. I do not understand the white knighting for Frost. The guy is a failure at this point and has done nothing to reverse it. So now Turd is going to come in here and tell him what it takes to win? WTF? It's real easy to throw dirt on the guy that hired you and is no longer here and blame him as to why Frost isn't successful.

If Frost is so unaware of what it takes to be successful then why was he hired in the first place?

It seemed like McKewon was moving towards the fire Frost side. He basically called the performance Saturday crap and harped how things haven’t changed. It’s funny how some of these media members keep saying Frost needs more time with no trajectory.

It shocks me Sam said that. He’s smarter than that and it seems unlike him. He’s usually very objective (IMO).
