With Bronco resigning he is now available as an option for OC. Virginia’s offense has improved every year with him and was really, really good this season. Also can coach OL.

Apparently some writer on the Husker 247 site said to keep an eye out for him as an option for us. Anyone with a sub over there able to fill us in on exactly what they said?

Not gonna lie, I’m very intrigued with him as a candidate.

Basically Schaffer said this...

He then tonight said it was Anae..

I was told if he is interested we need to lock him up ASAP. He is going to be a very highly sought after coach.

He would be a great fit. Would be an absolute home run.

Frost - QBs/Head Coach
Ron Brown - RBs
Mickey Joseph - WRs/Recruiting Coordinator
Anae - OL/Offensive Coordinator.

Leaves room for a special teams coach. I’d be ecstatic with either Snyder or Busch. Busch has had some damn good special teams units. Blocked 6 kicks in 2006.

Something tells me they are waiting to make sure Fischer stays around before they decide what to do with Busch though.

If this comes to fruition, I think you could argue Frost absolutely hit these hires out of the park.

Also, I’ve seen it argued that Frost coaching QB’s would defeat the purpose of taking on the CEO role. I disagree. He would still have a considerably smaller workload, and he is good at it.

Is Ron Brown a foregone conclusion or just speculating? I would like to have him here, just didn’t know if that is pretty much known at this time.

Lets get this locked up. What do we need to do

Question for those that know, how many OCs at the P5 level have also coached the OL aside from Barney Cotton and Bill Bedenbaugh (co-OC at OU)?

Obviously he could get help with analysts and GAs, but it feels like that's a pretty uncommon combo. Anae has experience with both, but has never had OC and OL duties at the same time.

Will add that I really like the potential.
