RIP ED FOLEY

@HuskerGarrett - I think Frogsker30 has hopped onto the InsiderHer lilipad and needs a new tag to reflect his status. Just my $0.02.
Preciate the acknowledgment.
I don’t deserve an insiderher tag. I get lucky every now and then with my buddy. Plus he’s been getting vaguer and vaguer. My only inside look there ( that I’m at least comfortable approaching).

I believe Marvin Sanders and Carl Pelini fall into that category. Ekeler left to pursue a co-DC opportunity at Indiana. I don't recall the jump being anything more than career progression oriented.
Thanks Yeah I can remember those incidents. Not sure why I thought there was a story there

Was Pelini's LBs coach; he was a good recruiter. Doing ok at Tennessee as ST coach. Allowed one blocked punt and zero blocked field goals, the last four years. While at Nebraska, Ekeler coached six linebackers who reached the NFL: Cody Glenn, Phillip Dillard, Lavonte David, Will Compton, Eric Martin, and Trevor Roach.

His uncle Bob Martin played for the Huskers in the 70's. Not sure if Rhule would contact him though, but he would be interested to return IMO.
Is that the Bob Martin from David City?

I never knew that connection. Bob's mom used to babysit for my brothers and sisters and I all of the time. She was like a grandma to us. Cool.
Also is related to Bo and Barrett Ruud from his wife’s side I’m pretty sure….
