Thank god we have you. Would hate for Matt Davidson not to have another idiot to hang out with now that frost is gone!

Riley's problem was that he never got his QB.
Frost's problem was that he crowned a TR FR his starting QB - unquestioned - for the next 4 seasons.
Really? Out of all the problems those two knuckleheads had you think that was the root of the problems? Well okay.

South Carolina scored more points per game last year than they scored this year. Before that he was Rhule's OC in the Baylor rebuild. Those are his only two OC experiences in FBS. Before that he had two OC jobs in FCS where he was pretty successful. Where did he bomb in your eyes?

Does the talent level factor into your equation at all?

Satterfield was never the OC for Rhule. At Baylor, he was the TE coach before following him to the Panthers where he was the offensive line coach. He then went to South Carolina as their OC and QBs coach. South Carolina was his only P5 OC experience for two years.

While I am having a hard time pulling the stats that someone else on this board pulled, Satt's time at the Cocks was great. Yeah, in 2022, they did alright where they scored more than 30 in 9 games and did alright offensively. But they also had a high number of turnovers. But I did find this though:

So looking at his year 2, nothing screams great. It looks like with his talent level in the SEC, it looks like it's pretty middle in the ground. But the turnover rate and the rushing yards per game should be a reddish yellow flag for what to expect going forward. And that is with a seasoned QB like Rattler (seasoned, not top notch).

No, they obviously had other problems. Especially Frost.

My point is that B1G is becoming a mini NFL - and in the NFL, as we all know, your success begins and ends with whether or not you have an above average QB. Rhule found that out in Carolina - he never got a decent QB so anything else he did there didn't matter.

B1G is now the same as the NFL: figure out your QB situation and you can be 8-4 to 11-1. Don't figure it out and you're stuck in the 5-7/6-6 zone or worse. Pressure begins to mount on Rhule in yr 2 to figure it out (the QB situation).

I take that as in we're looking for a great QB to happily want to transfer us if we pay up more than other schools and hope to God he can read a defense and not be incompetent with ball handling.

So we recruit over Purdy (because he's the most legit QB we have on roster) and push everyone else out?

1. Sims - Gone
2. HH - Move to TE
3. Purdy - maybe stay if he wants to stay?
4. DK (incoming freshman that will take 2 years before he can run an offense)
5. Walk-ons

So should our roster next year should look like this:

1. Grad transfer QB
2. Purdy/HH
3. Redshirt freshman transfer QB
4. DK
5. Walk-ons

You mean a couple of players that left? Let's talk about the players the old staff couldn't get a thing out of and turned out to be good players for us this year. Would destroy your narrative but it's okay I'm here for you little guy.
hmm, like who? Benhart didn't turn out to be absolutely dogshit. That's about it on the offensive side of the ball!
