Nebraska steaks have had an international following for many years. When I did my junior abroad in Hong Kong they had a very high end restaurant at the Ocean Terminal called the San Francisco Steak House and their claim to fame was that they served fresh air-flown Nebraska steaks.

That was in 1974!

My wife and I went to Barcelona 2 years ago and multiple restaurants explicitly called out both in signage and on the menu that their beef came from Nebraska. It was pretty funny then and still gets a kick out of us now.
