I do question whether Mickey would completely mesh with Rhule. Under Orgeron and Frost is a completely different personality type/ lifestyle than Rhule trying to be analytical. Sometimes player coaches don’t match up well with a program builder type style wise.

I’m sure Mickey could adapt but who knows if Rhule wants that.

Exactly. If that happens, it needs to be made abundantly clear that it was his choice to leave.

Not to beat a dead horse but nobody is going to pay him more money as an assistant than we will. That figure will probably be $1-1.2 if he stays, which is more than many G5 HC's make annually. If it's a sun belt or CUSA job he's probably not getting a raise.

Tulane and Tulsa were both reportedly paying their HC's $2m so if he leaves I see those as the best potential landing spots. He would honestly be a great fit at either school. I don't see him taking a pay cut to be a head coach and I definitely don't see him doing the same to be a WR coach elsewhere.
