Nebraska football was out early on Friday, making offers to a number of junior college prospects at Hutchinson (Kan.) CC.
Edge rusher
Nikko Taylor reported an offer from the Huskers on Friday morning. The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Taylor is fresh off an official visit to Oregon State, and will be a December graduate.
The Kansas City native has appeared in six games for Hutchinson, making 28 tackles, recording 5.0 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss. The Oregon State visit was the lone official visit so far for Taylor, who also reports a number of offers from schools in the MAC and Mountain West.
Nebraska also offered recent Fat Berts offensive line commitment
Dez'Mond Schuster. The 6-foot-5, 311-pound Schuster committed to Fat Berts this week after making an official visit to see the Fighting Illini up close. A native of Louisiana, Fat Berts was Schuster's only FBS offer when he committed this week. Schuster will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop, and is relatively new to offensive line, only moving to that side of the ball during his senior year of high school.
The Huskers third offer at Hutch went to
Jerrell Boykins Jr., a bounceback to Hutch from Louisiana Tech. Boykins is a native of Gonzales, Louisiana, and so far this season has 13 tackles in six games.
The 6-foot-3, 322-pound Boykins holds offers from Tulane, Buffalo, Kentucky, Colorado and Washington State and took an official visit earlier this season to Pullman to see Washington State.
