Welcome to The Platinum Board. We are a Nebraska Husker news source and fan community.
Sign Up Now!Hindsight is 20/20, but I never expected him to be a Husker. However, I really like our chances with Torres right now. He will be at KSU this weekend, but wouldn't be surprised if he commits by mid-next week. But where are @Lionsfan93 blue balls pointing?
I'd say almost certainly. Torres has his "final" visit this weekend to Kstate. Ideally, we can leverage Bianco's visit into a Torres' commit by mid next week.Do we take a commitment from Torres with the Hawaiian QB visiting in a couple of weeks?
Curious if we try and see Bianco first or just take Torres's commitment. Hoping we at least get eyes on Bianco first.I'd say almost certainly. Torres has his "final" visit this weekend to Kstate. Ideally, we can leverage Bianco's visit into a Torres' commit by mid next week.
I believe the staff has Torres higher on their board, but I do think they honestly would take Bianco. He is a huge wildcard though.
Personally, I like Torres more after seeing him this weekend. He just looks like a legit QB prospects. Him and Haarberg are different from any QB he have had in a very long time. Who knows if it will end up being a "better" different, but they are definitely different.
To …?Androff has committed
Fong put his balls in for: Erickson, Torres, Sampson, androffFong predicts Valen Erickson will be a Nebraska commit
Just realized that i put 20 guys in there because i can't addSchaefer has mentioned that we will probably take 18-20 guys this year. I'm assuming we will save at least 2 spots for transfers. Assuming we take 18 guys, and based on our current board, our 2022 recruiting class will probably end up looking something like this:
QB (1) - Richard Torres (3* 0.8693)
RB (1) - Justin Williams (3* 0.8749)
WR (2) - VICTOR JONES (3* 0.8552); Landon Samson (3* 0.8466)
TE (1) - CHASE ANDROFF (3* 0.8527)
OL (3) - Jake Maikkula (3* 0.8527); Ashton Craig (3* 0.8627); Valen Erickson (3* 0.8477)
DL (3) - Jamari Lyons (4* 0.8928); Jalen Marshall (3* (0.8627);Hayden Schwartz(3* 0.8728)
LB (2) - Jake Appleget (no rating); ERNEST HAUSMANN (3* 0.8702);Tyler Martin(4* 0.8970); Lamar Washington (3* 0.8863)
CB (2) - Benjamin Morrison (4* 0.9002); James Monds (3* 0.8527)
S (1) - Markeith Williams (4* 0.9108)
ATH - Ja'Corey Thomas (3* 0.8810); Carson Hegerle (3* 0.8627)
That calculates to a 197.01 score on 247. Samson's rating will rise though, and so will Appleget's, and I'm assuming some other guys are going to get higher ratings. So our final class score would be above 200, maybe in the 205ish range, which would put us in the 35-30 range in the team rankings.
