Boy it would make me real happy if Daevonn Hall just ended his recruitment way early and committed this weekend.
He goes to my church. I've never really alked with him before, but I have talked with his younger brother. Great family. Both Daevonn and his younger brother were in foster care and were both adopted. From what I have heard, his family loves the idea of staying home, but they are pretty concerned about Frost's future and not knowing if he will be there for Daevonn's entire tenure. But that info is also months old and I don't know how much their thoughts have changed with the recent coaching changes. I'd imagine adding Mickey Joseph to the mix is only benefiting us. My dad and his dad chat from time to time and have actually had multiple conversations about his recruitment.

Interesting side note - I have mentioned this before, but the pastor of my church and Ron Brown are extremely close and Ron has spoke at our church on multiple occasions. However, Ron did tell my pastor that he cannot speak at our church right now, since they are actively recruiting Daevonn.

Good lord I hated that song. 🤮

Within a year I “discovered” the ABB and music took on a whole new meaning in my life. 😎

H8R! There was a lot of good music that came out of that era, but "bubble gum" rock wasn't really on my favorite playlist. It was offered in the context of the "dizzying" # of offers flying out the door right now. I know you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but cot dayum there doesn't appear to be a heckuva lot of selectivity going on in North Stadium right now. I know, I know ... win some ball games and the narrative changes. #RTDB

Well maybe Ron can't talk to him any more but how about an old President and a founding father or two?

Like maybe Ulysses S Grant along with a few Benjamin Franklins? Nice little history lesson.

*hint hint

It's basically legal now, isn't it?

j/k

(kind of)

Incredible that with ALL of the other fuckery going on in college sports these days, that something like THIS would be considered a recruiting violation. I respect Coach Brown's desire to remove any shadow of a doubt on this situation, but ...

After I posted this I texted my dad (semi-joking) about Daevonn having a big visit this weekend and he needs to reach out to his dad to get the inside scoop. My dad said that him and Rick (Daevonn's dad) have actually been talking a lot lately about his recruitment. He said that Ferentz was by to see him this past Tuesday. Daevonn and his mom got a chance to meet Mickey Joseph a few weeks back and were super impressed. Right now "he is leaning towards NU, but you never know."

Not a state that a school like Nebraska can afford to ignore. Despite all of the recruiting success stories we have had, this has to be near the top of the failures list.

McQuitty being a total bust didn't help.
