Welcome to the Wednesday, Jan. 18 edition of ‘Follow the Trail.’
There are a lot of news, offers and activity to track right now with
Nebraska recruiting. Let’s use this space to keep track of things that are happening on the recruiting trail on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
We’ll also take a look back at a few things that happened late last night on Tuesday.
>> Let’s start with Tuesday night. It ended up being a busy evening with Texas scholarship offers.
Coach Matt Rhule, defensive backs coach Evan Cooper and tight ends coach Bob Wager were all in the Dallas metroplex. Defensive line coach
Terrance Knighton was in Houston.
Garret McGuire was also out and about in Texas. The Huskers are making a strong effort to get things rolling in the Lone Star State under Rhule.
Here are some players that reported offers last night in Texas.

>> Speaking of
Jeremiah Charles, he told me last night that he will be visiting Nebraska this weekend. It will be an official visit. Nebraska is well-aware of his skills since Wager was his coach last year. The trio of Rhule, Cooper and Wager watched Charles play basketball Tuesday night and then offered him a scholarship as a wide receiver.
His athleticism is off the charts. He participates in football, basketball and track. This season he caught 23 passes for 452 yards and five touchdowns. He’s raw but has the tools to be a sleeper for the Huskers.
I’m logging a
FutureCast for Nebraska to add Charles to the 2023 recruiting class.
>> Charles isn’t the only receiver visiting this weekend. Remember that four-star 2023 wideout
Demitrius Bell will be on an official visit too.

Nebraska had Rhule, Cooper and offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield in-home with Bell on Monday. I like Nebraska’s position right now with Bell enough that I am also logging a
FutureCast for him to be a Husker too.
>> There is always a lot of intrigue around where offensive line coach
Donovan Raiola is recruiting. I can report that on Tuesday he was in Utah visiting high schools. He stopped by Skyridge High School in Lehi, Utah. Raiola was also at Orem High School in Orem, Utah.
UPDATE: 1/18 1:40 p.m
>> Rhule, wide receivers coach Garret McGuire and secondary coach Evan Cooper were at Connally High. That school is home to a pair of priority 2024 recruits.

>> We are sure at this time where exactly he is recruiting but defensive coordinator Tony White tweeted that he is in California.
>> Nebraska has a new 2024 offensive line offer out in Texas.
Blake Frazier has early offers from Clemson, Florida and LSU among others. He will not be unrated here long.
