I am cutting Frost some slack as I think the roster he took over a fucking awful. If it wasn't for Bo we would have had even less talent.
HCMR and Cav recruited

You can do the same thing with a number of spots on the team. RB WR, etc... I think the roster is significantly better today than it was when he got here.
Now if he doesn't coach better football we will continue to gave debates with his name and worst coach ever here.

I have pretty mixed feelings about how to view Frank. He was obviously pretty successful here (more so that we realized at the time), but at the same time Frank had some of the best defenses we ever had here. You have to put that 1999 defense up with any we ever had. Shit, we had 10 fumbles against KState and still housed them. He was just trying to emulate Tom and wasn't on the same level. We went all in on QB keepers/sprint options when Crouch wasn't that great of an option decision-maker (great runner obv). Turnover machine on those late pitches. We never had the same RB running game after '97.

If Frost has a winning season this year I would put him above Riley, but I have my doubts we have a winning season.

I went the other way with it. Frost needs to prove he can make a bowl game in my view to be above Riley. Riley atleast had one decent year with Pelini’s supposed below average talent.

How can you seriously put Frost above Pelini at this point? The only way a person could is if they hate Pelini with a passion which which would cloud their judgement.

Only reason I have Frost still above Riley is the talent both coaches inherited. Riley was left with a good stock, (not amazing, but talent to win) while Frost inherited a trash roster. Out of all the coaches since Devaney, Frost inherited the worst roster in my opinion. Now it’s year 4, so definitely no more excuses.
