Raiola transfer article

For those of us who did read the article, I would suggest that the “CFB Insider” cited in the article was Dom himself. So rather than pay for the article to be written, he simply became the “insider” who was quoting the numbers.

Happy for someone to pay ~$5M to deal with the drama.

The most fucked up part of current CFB is that DR’s new team doesn’t have to pay donu for him. Hopefully we get to the point where the player or the new school or both have to buy their way out of contracts.

Just like in the English Premiership. If players transfer, the buying university has to pay a transfer fee and buyout the contract. Right now we have swung the pendulum so far in the favor of the kids that it is bordering chaos. The kids can essentially do whatever they want, when they want.

Just another example of how we are creating a generation of entitled professional whiners.

You can lose the “bordering” part above. It’s full and complete chaos. Giving infinite power and money of a billion dollar industry to the 18-22 year olds is like making a chimpanzee with a shotgun ceo of a Fortune 500 corporation.

At least a couple schools are suing players for transferring before their contract expires. UGA is one of them. Feels more like a punishment than a buyout, but it’ll get sorted soon.

There’s not a fuckin chance Sorsby is asking 4m and Dylan is getting 5m

Daddy thinks he’ll get $5million, he’ll either get it or be a problem at FBS stop #2, likely leading to FBS stop #3.

At times during his Freshman year I was positive the kid would be a 1st round draft pick and leave early. Now he needs a big Junior year to land in the first three rounds.

Programs should sign 1-5 year contracts with players, depending on their value and years of eligibility remaining. If a player decides to leave early, they or their new program pays up. If the program cuts someone loose, program pays up.

Nebraska is done paying DR when he transfers so it’s not like he’s taking his money he would’ve earned in the spring correct?
