1: Was the OL pass pro that good or was Purdoodoo middle school level at pass rush? Dylan had enough time to paint a landscape before choosing a receiver.

2: Emmett Johnson is a football player. Does his job, doesn't cause trouble, doesn't tell coaches to suck his dick, makes plays. Maybe my favorite Husker this year.

3: Ceyair Wright, once again, was needed and did well enough.

4: The FG thing is comical at this point. We thought that kicking would cost us "one" game, but as it turns out it's going to probably cost us a winning season. Not many bad teams left on the schedule.

5: Fuck Peacock.

6: Barney is great but I worry if his set of plays will become predictable.

7: I don't like the Haarberg stuff and it hasn't been successful more than it has been. Just leave Dylan in.

8: Next time Foley is at one of those roadside diners he should ask for any job openings and an application.

9: Is Elijah Juedy alive? Was he on the trip?

10: So much for the supposedly easy schedule. We are catching some teams on an upswing. Buttgers, Indianus and Illinois are all better than was expected.

That fuck Mike Riley cursed us the moment he said he believed in paying a special teams coach & that dipshit went on to be the laziest POS ever.

Hold a tryout at this point cuz I feel like we can at least find a kid who can consistently make it from 30 yards. Same for long snapper. Find an MLS guy with eligibility & give him a raise

It is not an invalid point to make about our kicker struggles. However, the long snapper issue seems to be at least a portion of the problem. How much blame is the snapper and how much is the kicker is the question.

There’s no excuse to miss 3 field goals in one half and have your team have to punt from the 34 (?)yard line.

Other teams try fg’s standard from 50 now. Cray we cringe over a 35 yarder.

It's on Foley and Rhule at point. Foley is obvious, but Rhule needs to give Satt license to call the game as if we aren't kicking outside of dead on PAT range. They're converting 44% on 3rd downs and that's a better probability than any kick at basically any range at this point

Regarding 10: I'm leaning towards Buttgers being overrated. By all rights, they should have been smoked by Washington.

I see:
2 sure wins - UCLAbia and Wisconsin
3 toss ups - Buttgers, Indianus, and Cockeye
2 losses - OSU and USC

Looking at anywhere from 6-6 to 9-3 then.

my guess is that if we had a good long snapper our kickers would be

okay

All 3 of the missed field goals were right in front of me. The first was a pull left. The other 2 were both bad snaps. The ball was skipping to the holder and timing was off.

I was at the game and it was one of the worst games for offensive flow that I can ever remember watching in person. The game never felt in doubt, but it felt very much like the Frost era Purdoodoo-Nebraska game I went to several years ago where we controlled the LOS but lost late while clearly more talented and dominated yardage.

Couple things I would take away from the game:

Raiola needs to run a bit more. I know he doesn't want to run a lot, and we don't want to open him up to unnecessary hits, but he had two or three plays that were wide open for big yards outside the pocket for a first down that he threw into coverage or back across the field for incompletions. Take the easy yards.

Satterfield refuses to stick with the run game early. He needs to run off schedule more.

Everyone not named Jacorey Barney looked slow. The field was damp and soft, and everyone just looked like they were running in sand. They squeegeed the field the night before from all the rain they had received. It was a slow track.

Purdoodoo is bad and has zero big play threats. That is easily the worst team we have faced or will face this year.

The Haarberg packages feel forced. We should be running play action with Raiola to the TE off some of those 3rd and short.

We just looked flat and disinterested. To me, that is the most problematic part. Coming off a tough loss, we should have been ready to bury a vastly inferior opponent. That should have been a 35+ point win.

It is looking slightly more likely than not, that we will lose each of the next three games. We desperately need a win against Buttgers this week.

Don't you know we are going to the playoffs? Take this negative nancy shit somewhere else. Only delusional posts are allowed.

Haha.... I had us at 9 wins preseason with a shot at 10 so count me as one of the delusional. We still got a fair chance at 8 but need a win this week for certain.

I reserve my true thoughts on the rest of the season. Mostly because there aren't many on here that would want to hear them. Lets just say I will be pleased if we make a bowl game. I voted 8-4 but that was when I thought the defense would be similar to last season.
