Boys, I voted keep him 1 more year.
Frost ain’t missing easy kicks and if Turd makes him fire some shitty buddy hires I think this works.

Nebraska almost beat 4 top 10 teams. Under Pelini or Riley they would have been blowouts. (Callahan too) This team would beat Callahan, Pelini or Riley’s best team. 09 and 2010 Nebraska was all cake schedule and the 2009 offense wouldn’t score a point on this defense.

PS. If he doesn’t win 10 games next season with an easy schedule then fire him the day after Black Friday

This team would find a way to lose to most of Pelini and Callahan’s teams. I would buy your thinking if we beat a couple teams with a pulse this year, but we don’t have one good win.

What don't you know? It seems pretty clear to me. Objectively look at it. Forget the name and how much excitement there was when we hired him. After 4 years, his best accomplishment is good losses. And we still have bad losses...
I can’t shake the good losses. Yeah the MN, Purdue, Illinois losses are atrocious. But we still have played really well against the elite teams on our schedule. That’s not a fluke. Granted, the shit losses arent a fluke either. That’s why I don’t know. Don’t sit here and tell me you enjoyed 62-3 to OSU under Riley or the constant dick stomps against Wisconsin under Bo. I’m just torn

Losing less badly is the goal after all….

Yeah but we did to Michigan in 2018. That is progress
I was talking about vs OSU bc I thought that's what he was talking about.

Either way, trying to rationalize another year of Frost because we haven't gotten blown out yet in our first ten games - in which we're 3-7 - is either pure madness or pure stupidity. This fucking guy makes Mike Riley look like goddamn Vince Lombardi for Christs sake.

Hell no I didn't enjoy those. I don't enjoy losing. It's why I'm not torn and have come to the conclusion that a change is needed. We are about to be 3-9. Frost will be 15-29 (.340 winning percentage). And Frost will only have 1 winning season as a head coach out of 6 seasons.

Take a step back and look at the reality of the situation. What about that makes you feel okay with the state of things? Just because Riley was bad doesn't mean Frost is good. Both are terrible.

Ive always said Frost is the luckiest man alive. He will probably get another year while having his worst record in year 4.

I know. I’m just explaining why I’m torn. Didn’t ask you to agree

Would have liked it a year or two ago but it is progress technically speaking

The reality of the situation is we are close. Does that matter in year 4? It shouldn’t matter, no. Would it matter if his last name was Frost? Nope, he would have been gone last year most likely. But the reality is his name is Frost which carries some weight. I don’t get to judge that right or wrong. No I wouldn’t be upset if he was fired at the end of the year. I’m honestly expecting it. Do I want him to be retained and succeed, yes. But again, I’m not expecting it and am just assuming right now that he’ll be fired after Cockeye

It’s bad progress and not really. A loss is a loss and what other school that calls itself a “blue blood” which gets more laughable every year would actually think of retaining a coach with four losing seasons in a row?

Why are we sticking with Frost honestly? There’s no reason other than his last name

When people look at this team 10, 20, 30 years from now they will see a 3-9 or 4-8 team. No one will care about how close it was.

How is 3-9 close? You can't ignore that stat and focus on the score board. The scoreboard doesn't tell the full story.

Exactly, Riley lost a ton of close games his first year but he still had a losing season.

This is all mental gymnastics because Scott Frost is Scott Frost - Nebraska fans deserve a losing team with this mindset.

Michigan State lost today, does that hurt the narrative that we’re somehow so very close?

I could be wrong, but I highly doubt they would hire either Bo or Riley again if they fire Frost.

No because Purdue will be back in the top 25 after this week and they are world beaters.
