Maybe Vandy too. Another SEC team, but they weren’t a pre-season top 25 team. They had to earn their way up the rankings. If they were gifted a top 15 ranking like Alabama, Texas and Oklahoma they probably would’ve been ranked high enough to get in.
You’re missing a conference champ auto qualifier. You basically agree with the committee just think nd over bama which fair but I disagree bama has a lot better wins.

That’s because the SEC took all the pre season rankings. The SEC’s SOS is over valued because they’re all ranked to start the season. BigXII schedules are under valued cause only 2 teams were ranked to start the season.
It’s almost like the sec and B1G are playing a whole different sport and the “p4” grouping is a joke. It’s a P2 with the better top in the B1G and the depth of the sec then every other conference fighting for scraps.

Agree. Them moving to a 9-game conference schedule and spreading those extra losses around will help.
