Penn State fires Franklin

Franklin turned that mess of a program around insanely quickly. A three game skid after a nice playoff run and they booted him. Are they insane ? Enjoy the free fall - hiring a great coach is extremely rare and difficult
He deserved to be fired with what they spent and what they had coming back. He always did enough not to get fired but losing to UCLA and NW back in back weeks was definitely a fireable offense.

Did Turd ever give Lane a call back in 2022?

Sexton yes, idk about Lane directly.

His dad has also coached for 15 other teams including the one he’s currently the HC of

Bad take with poor hyperbole.

Monte only coached at Ole Miss, under Lane. Monte had 3 total stints in college that weren't a direct result of his son as a head coach. 11 seasons as an assistsnt at Nebraska, 3 seasons as an assistant at Arkansas & 3 seasons as a head coach at NC State.

Every other college stop was because Lane was the head coach; Tennessee, USC, FAU & Ole Miss.

Only for emotionally myopic people. They will look back at this with deep regret.

It's mainly boosters trying to protect the chastity of their wives
I always thought the boosters were fine since their wives are older. I figured Lane preferred women around his daughter’s age.

Maybe maybe not. He was horrible in big games and he had it set up to make a run this year and he totally shit himself. NIL matters more than anything now. Joey McGuire looks like a genius this year. I wonder why?

I don’t think so. Supposedly Florida and Bama didn’t even call Lane when they made their hires either.

Go read about Kiffin under Saban. It was a bad relationship and according to (IIRC) Armen Keteyian, Saban had to get his agent Jimmy Sexton (also Kiffin's agent) involved. Pretty sure Saban had a huge hand in his replacement.

The fact that any of this is even being talked about or taken seriously is comical. Silly post get silly responses

Yeah no joke.

I strongly believe that coaches pay attention to that crap. They don't want to play for an AD that's going to drop him the moment adversity hits.

And they're paying $49M to do it. INSANE.

Belichick to PSU? 😛
