- Junior running back Emmett Johnson rushed 19 times for 103 yards, marking his fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing game. He is the first Husker to have four straight 100-yard rushing games since Ameer Abdullah in 2013.

- Johnson had a career-long 52-yard run on the opening drive of the game. The 52-yarder bettered his previous long of 50 yards at Maryland earlier this season.

-With his 103 rushing yards, Johnson increased his career rushing total to 2,243 yards, moving him into the top 25 on the Husker career rushing list.

- Johnson had a career-high eight receptions for 48 yards, increasing his season total to 44, bettering his 39 receptions last season. Johnson’s reception total this season is the most by a Husker since Marlon Lucky had a position-record 75 catches in 2007. His previous high in receptions was seven set two previous times, most recently against Cincinnati.

- Johnson totaled 151 yards from scrimmage (103 rush, 48 receiving) to increase his season total to 1,534. He is the first Husker to gain 1,500 scrimmage yards since Ameer Abdullah in 2014.

- Sophomore Jacory Barney Jr. totaled 166 all-purpose yards (55 receiving, 111 kickoA returns), marking his third game this season with at least 125 all-purpose yards.

- Senior safety DeShon Singleton had a team-high 10 tackles, marking his sixth game of the season with at least six tackles and second straight double-figure tackle performance. He added his first career sack and had a career-high two tackles for loss.

- Redshirt freshman safety Rex Guthrie had four tackles to increase his season total to 57 tackles. His tackle total is the third-most by a Husker freshman regained eligibility in 1972. He is nine tackles from Michael RoseIvey’s freshman record of 66 tackles in 2013.

- Penn State gained 412 yards of total oAense, the first opponent to gain 400 yards against Nebraska this season. NU’s 10-game streak to open the season of holding opponents to less than 400 yards was its longest since the 2009 defense had the first 11 opponents to fewer than 400 yards.
