Panthers trade up for #1 pick

Gotta be for Stroud. I gotta think this has pretty big implications for the Colts and Falcons too. Both are in desperate need for a QB with Stroud, Richardson and Youngbeing the clear cut big 3. Do the Falcons try and jump up to 3 in front of the Colts? Or are they content with Levis?

Bears going to trade down again and get even more picks! Going to be the best draft in history.

Yeah also their 1st and 2nd round picks, their 2024 first round pick, and a 2nd round in 2025 I think. Lots 😞
Yes, they got a lot for the pick. I still think it was a mistake by the Bears - I don't see Justin Fields being a real and durable long-term solution at QB. That being the case, I think they'd have been better off long-term drafting a QB with the pick and trying to trade Fields for a WR.

I think it's a dumb move by Carolina. You move up for that cost if it's Trevor Lawrence. No one in this draft is anywhere near that level.

Young - if he were a few inches taller and 20 pounds heavier, he'd be worth it. His size is a huge issue.
Stroud - top 5 good but not worth the bounty they're giving up. He played pitch & catch at OSU. Great game vs Georgia, but he struggles with pressure.
Richardson - he's a project. Awesome talent but he has to sit for a year.
Levis - not as much of a project as Richardson but also would need to sit a year.

Fook that. Get a shit ton of picks and worry about qb in a year or two. They'll have the #1 pick next year from Carolina.

True - if you believe the #1 pick from Carolina in the '24 draft is a #1 pick, it's a no brainer good deal for the Bears.

Stroud made himself a lot of money in the Georgia game.
