Other games 2025

IDK? Who won between FSU and UF? I forgot. Whoever won that I guess is the better loss? Both pretty equally bad losses regardless.
I believe bama got dominated by fsu while Texas was maybe a bit closer so that tends to matter for me.But like I said - Miami should be rewarded for beating ND and get in over both

Splitting hairs. Point is they both sucked so both Texas and Alabama had a bad loss. Then Texas adds an extra loss to the equation.

They both played 12 games. They're both in the same conference. Texas non conference loss was better than Alabamas non conference loss. Texas had an extra loss in conference play.

At the end of the regular season the playoff committee said Alabama was better than Texas. 9 vs 13. Alabama plays another game and loses to the best team in the conference. Texas watches.

Regardless of your opinion makes no sense for the playoff committee to flip flop them.
I can see it both ways. Not really fair to punish them for losing to a better team, but a 13th game is an additional pull at the lever to improve your seeding with the downside risk of looking shitty and getting left out.

Regardless, I think the committee bumping Bama up last week was a pretty clear signal they were in regardless

Probably gotta put both ND and Miami in. Hate both those fuckers but that’s probably the correct and fair result.

The clear answer seems to be get Texas and Alabama in - if other contenders didn’t play the rigors of an SEC schedule, their wins shouldn’t carry the same weight

If they played a nine game conf scheduel I may agree but they didn’t.

I honestly think there's probably 7-8 teams you could justify for the last spot or two. This is the problem when you go to more and more teams you start getting into good not great teams which there are a lot of them.

If the B1G had more teams ranked preseason, Michigan would probably be in. They have 2 losses to Oklahoma (who's very decent) and USC who's good but not great.

But since SEC had 9 preseason ranked teams (and 3-4 of those are pretty mediocre) then they get credit for beating ranked teams that in reality weren't that good.

I think ESPN sucks enough SEC cock without your help. JMO

What is the best win between those two? Bama's is the number 2 team in the land on the road.
Washington prob. But it doesn't matter because their two losses (before the CCG) was to two really good teams and not a trash team like FSU.

They had pretty similar outcomes in the CCG against really good teams. They played head to head it would probably be a pretty even fight.

What the fuck is with everyone valuing good losses over good wins this year.

On paper this B1G CCG should be like one of the biggest games of the decade, but feels like there is zero juice.

I think if Indiana keeps it close and/or actually wins it the game will get that feel. A lot people think OSU gonna wax dat ass, Indiana needs to give them a reason to get excited. IMO
