Alabama has the same amount of losses because they played an extra game.

Texas has the same amount of losses because they played #1 team in the country instead of a terrible acc team in non-conf. That was fun !

Edit: yes, if we were 10-3 and got beat by 3 TDs in the championship game and lost to a team with a losing record. I would completely understand why we got left out. As a Nebraska fan I would want us in even if we didn’t deserve it, but I can recognize when we don’t deserve it.

They both played 12 games. They're both in the same conference. Texas non conference loss was better than Alabamas non conference loss. Texas had an extra loss in conference play.

At the end of the regular season the playoff committee said Alabama was better than Texas. 9 vs 13. Alabama plays another game and loses to the best team in the conference. Texas watches.

Regardless of your opinion makes no sense for the playoff committee to flip flop them.
