I think its accurate to say the bottom of the SEC is better than the bottom of the B1G and the top of the B1G is better than the top of the SEC. Middle is pretty much a wash.
Just a few years ago the SEC bottom dwellers were riding the UGA and Bama coattails to prop themselves up, now we have the top SEC teams hyping the bottom of the conference to prop themselves up. What a fascinating turn of events
