Other games 2025

They’re a big play team. If you stop the big plays they really struggle to move the ball. Nebraska lost bc of three plays

True, they also had that long drive (aided by a terrible missed holding call on a key 3rd down) that just killed the whole 4th quarter. That killed us as much as the 3 big runs. I would like to see how they do against a team that is elite at stopping the run, my gut says they lose that game.

But like you said Michigan busts about 3-5 huge runs a game. If you can limit them to 1 or 2 big plays throughout the game you should have a chance to beat them. Now, that is easier said then done. Their oline opens up huge holes and both their RBs will house it on you when they get the opportunity. They busted 2 huge plays against Oklahoma, but otherwise they (OU) bottled them up for most of the game.

We were able to move the ball somewhat easily. The difference with Wisconsin is that they were running on 3rd and mid, when we passed. Wisconsin’s defense looks noticeably worse than ours.

I don’t think this game ends close.

Cincy has the godfather back and he’s been out most since our game. ISU hasn’t been able to do anything. Again, our defense looks a lot better than ISU’s does against the Cincy offense. If Cincy wins, they’ll probably be ranked. We won’t with a win, though. Cincy will have beaten ISU and all we beat was Cincy.

Yeah, my take was after the first drive where UM ran thru them easier than they did us. They’ve played better with good gap control and loading the box. They’ve benefited from Michigan dropping passes that would have been big time plays.

We will be if both win

Only 4 ranked teams have the possibility of dropping out of the rankings…. ISU is #14 they could possibly drop out but Cincy will take their place if this score holds. Then there’s Virginia at #24 playing Louisville, if they lose (UVA) that would be our best opportunity to sneak in. FSU is #18 and they won’t drop out if they keep it close with Miami. Miami will have to beat them by 2+ scores for FSU to drop out. Lastly there’s Vanderbilt at #16. Once again bama will have to beat them by 2-3 scores for them to drop out.

Just don’t think enough teams ranked between 15-25 will lose for us to get in.
