OT: Pedo Dr in Lincoln

Sending a ripple through my hometown currently, I went to HS with this guy. Weren't close friends by any means but definitely ran in the same circles. Goes by "Dr" Jacob Smith now, he was Dempsey Smith when I knew him.

The 1 & 3 year old mentioned in the article, are his kids. 1 year old is his biological daughter, 3 year old was a foster son that he and his wife adopted. Autistic and nonverbal. Talked to some people with more info, in those chats on kik he was talking about how he assaulted the 3 year old (and had a desire to do the same to the 1 year old). Lawyers building a case around yes, he definitely had and distributed child p*rn but that he only was "talking a big game" about assaulting the 3 year old and that it was a fantasy that didn't actually happen, even though he described it in detail and even said he did it when he was putting the boy to bed, while his wife was home.

Fucking disgusting. You truly never know with people. His old man was a family Dr in Holdrege, his parents and family were fixtures of the community. Would have never guessed it would be him. A lot of father's on the board, as one myself my heart breaks for those kids. Taking the innocence of children is one of the few truly unforgiveable sins, imo. And to do it when you're a father and the person who is supposed to above all else, protect those kids, is unfathomable. Fuck you Dempsey, I hope you suffer excruciating pain for every miserable day of the rest of your shitty life

feds don't fuck around on a case like this. When it's homeland security they don't make an arrest until they know they have him nailed. The seized 8 devices from his house and found 106 images of child p*rn on his personal cellphone alone. His mom came out in court and said they'd do anything to get him released into their custody while awaiting trial, 24/7 surveillance, surrender all devices that could access the internet, etc. Judge still denied request as she feels he poses a significant risk to society
