I've often thought about where else I'd like to live in Nebraska if my situation changed. I really like Kearney and would be my first choice, if I want an even simpler life, I would choose Ogallala or Sidney , given its proximity to Colorado.

the worst, after Omaha, would have to be some combination of Lexington, North Platte, GI, and Schuyler.

North platte will be the clear cut winner if the meat packing plant goes among those towns.

Lincoln, lived there for about 10 years. Only place I knew outside of Beatrice where parents were born. Beatrice sucked shriveled balls. Some of the other surrounding towns were nice, just too small.

My uncle and his family are there. Close enough to Omaha, but beautiful country.
