Breaking One time transfer rule temporarily restricted

you still have only 85 guys even if some guys have the opportunity to transfer a second time.

It could be Ohio loses the case. This is just a TRO for 14 days.
At this rate anything is on the table.

The NCAA was feckless but at least there was a loose framework of how stuff was supposed to go down.

Good thing coaches get paid the big bucks.

You think you are good with your numbers and you have players xyz locked in because they are not eligible for transfer.

Then a week before early signing day they are like surprise mother fucker now any player on your team can transfer without penalty. Good luck. ☠️

Williams, Hood and Collier would be possible candidates

Now what happens if a player jumps in the portal as a result of this, then the ruling is overturned at some point?
I would assume they are not allowed to play next year. I think this has more implications in the current NCAABB season than football next year. Any player who was not playing this year due to transfer can play for the next 14 days.

Will any school let them when it's just a TRO?

The more rules like this are passed, the more it benefits coaches that follow-through on promises and treat kids the right way, which feels like puts us in a good position.

I’m all for it, let them transfer twice a year and add more turmoil to programs that don’t prioritize culture.

Like...forever? Or just for these 2 weeks?

Not breaking any news here, but the NCAA is an absolute clown show. Major college athletics needs some sort of commissioner and legitimate governing body ASAP. There need to be guardrails in place for NIL and transferring.

It looks like at least the 14 days until the hearing. A W. Virginia judge has come to the same ruling:
