On3 Buys Rivals

It could be local fansite reporters get offers but they are likely to be few and far between. Does Callahan need a larger staff? The answer is No, I would guess. It's the same thing as before, just more subscribers.
I wonder about this. IIRC, Munsson was bascially just an assistant back when Clouse was the main recuting writer. It is still only a part-time gig for Munsson, so maybe they would take on a full-time guy to cover recruiting.
But maybe Clouse's salary spot was filled by Sipple and they won't add another full-time guy. But if they get the boost from most of the old Rivals subs, maybe they could afford it.

Considering how lame Dean was during the first On3 "transition" I can't imagine he'll want to allow any of those guys to stay on. Who knows how it'll shake out though. I kept my Rivals subscription because I really liked how those guys handled everything and they were a total breath of fresh air. I'm absolutely not gonna re-up again if it's back under Dean and the gang.

Wasn’t he forced to not post for like 3 months, prior to the move? Some contractual issue? What a soap opera! 😂

That sucks, I figured one was going to get merged by On3 but I thought it would be the 247.

Someone already said it but it will be a loss for the Nebraska fan because as good as Zack, Steve, and Tim are they will be able to find a better landing spot.

Dean would be smart to keep at least Tim for a full-time recruiting guy but I don't see the rivals guys wanting to work with or for Dean.

Here is a gif I found when looking up "Sucks" to help us through these tumultuous times.

She's not going to be able to field punts very cleanly with those wet fingers.

I think it helped that none of the Rivals guys were actual "Nebraska" guys. So you didn't have the bias and the ass-kissing you get from Dean.

Turns out he had a non-compete, and the ironic part it was tied to his ownership or stake in the Kansas State rivals site. Nothing to do with the Nebraska rivals. So yeah, he had to sit out of both sites for three months, I think it was. He could do podcasts on Youtube, but nothing on the HOL site.

IIRC, he posted some big welcome message on the On.3 board right at midnight to start the new deal, but then he had to delete it pretty quickly after his contractual situation was brought to light.

From Deana:

"Also, it's a value add. Members will get access to both networks and content. Again, very little sub crossover here."

But, what does it mean?

I find it hilarious that every company in a pretty saturated industry was founded by the same guy. He keeps starting companies, selling them, then prompty starting a new company doing the same exact thing to compete with the company he just sold.
Jeremy Crabtree who I believe was the #2 guy at rivals before going to ESPN is starting a boutique recruiting service based out of KC. He came and talked to our football kids a week or 2 ago. I asked him about Callahan, he didn't say anything bad about him, but did say "I like to remind him that Sean Callahan isn't Sean Callahan without Jeremy Crabtree". Kind of made me laugh.

you aren't thinking like an owner. The owner will want to make more, not pay more in salaries. His business already is the most successful of the three in the market. Did it help Rivals to have these guys?

That being said, I really like Tim and Marik.
