I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad time in swimtown. Contrast that with Lincoln where I’m pissed off basically every time I go there. No fault of the town, just the football team.

Moved back to lincoln and the traffic makes me rage harder than high school me getting skunked in Halo 3

Lincoln is great for school. It's like a big college town. That's the one thing it has over Omaha in UNL and gamedays.

When I come back to visit NE I'm in Omaha unless I'm going to Lincoln for a game. Lincoln sucks outside of that.

In terms of traffic annd ease of navigation, and interesting things to do, Omaha wins hands down. The thing that my wife and i go back and forth on is whether we would rather live in the Haymarket/Railyard or Old Market when we downsize. I’m leaning towards theHaymarket/Railyard just because of bars and restaurants plus the game day experience on Saturdays. Omaha also has the Blackstone, Dundee, Aksarben and other walkable areas though which are fun.

Lincoln has outgrown it's infrastructure and getting anywhere is a nightmare, the mayor is a lib moron,, and shopping and entertainment options outside of the arena are non-existent. With that being said, I'd still rather live in Lincoln than mini-Chicago. I don't feel like getting hit by a stray bullet anytime soon.
