Apparently there are Cockeyes as head coaches over there. That would explain a lot

Or that a certain Head Coach has made very little effort to build relationships with any of the head coaches in the metro, and as a result, is not well received at several HS's that produce D1 talent.

That excuse has been made for Riley, Frost, Pelini...I mean at some point we have to look and see what else is happening in that area. It's a growing area, Nebraska hasn't been good in a long time, those kids don't care for the Huskers.
How do you think Bob Stoops gained such a great foothold in Texas? It wasn't because Texas coaches weren't hammering the DFW area. It was because Texas was down, OU was not, Dallas/Fort Worth was growing and there were a lot of kids moving there that didn't care about the Longhorns or the Aggies.
The other thing is why are these Omaha coaches so sensitive? Does Nebraska really need to send someone over there every week to stroke their egos? God you'd think those guys were the coaches at Desoto down in Dallas or Miami Northwestern or something.
I'm not saying that Nebraska doesn't need to do a better job recruiting Omaha. But there are other reasons these kids are going elsewhere.
