Oklahoma

I said this a few months ago, I think maybe on here too but for sure on RSS, the only way we're going to actually compete and have a chance there is if we Run the Damn Ball and Run the Damn Ball HARD. Not going to out spread them. I really hope Frost isn't going to try to walk in there and make it a track meet.
If the game plan on O is to run the ball, eat clock, sustain drives and get at least 3 every time - i'm N.

If the game plan on O is to keep everything in front of us, make them sustain long scoring drives, don't give up the big play, allow them to dink and dunk - i'm also N.

Only chance we have imho. Will be super amazed if we're successful pulling it out. We're not going to catch them by surprise with this game plan.

Only fears I have are our LBs covering in space.

Not worried about JoJo, confident in Reimer, Heinrich has the tools, Kolarevic and Schlager are highly touted but unproven in the Big… outside of that, not sure what the consensus is there.

I agree on one part of this equation: Rattler is overrated. He's not 1st-overall draft pick good...hell, he got benched against K-State.

It actually worked well against Ohio State last year. We shot ourselves in the foot too often to keep the game close. Plus we had walkons at WR.

They scored 14 points in 3 out of 4 quarters (10 in the 2nd).

K-State beat Oklahoma last year and finished the year 4-6. Oklahoma isn't Alabama. They'll still beat us but I don't think they'll blow us out. Ratller did get better and better as the year went on and he has even more weapons this year though.

Game was close in the first half. 2AM fumbled which and OSU defense scored off that. Warner also dropped a pass in the endzone. We had another lost fumble in that game.

I'm not saying we would have won. But if we clean up the mistakes and our offense is better then the game is a lot closer.

If I remember right our secondary got torched in the 2nd half.

One of OSU's touchdowns was in teh last minute if i recall, plus the 2AM fumble touchdown. Take away those and the score is 38-24. Add in Warner's dropped TD in the endzone, and the game is 38-31.

edit: game would have been 38-24, not 38-31.

We’ll likely be in nickel and dime for most of the game. So I’m not sure you should worry about linebackers.

Fumbles aren’t even a variable of Nebraska football anymore. They are pretty much a fixture that we have to overcome almost every game.
