1,527 people still in the transfer market? That’s a lot of open schollys for kids that normally wouldn’t have got a shot because some kid on the roster would just squat on the bench for 5 years.

I’ve said from the beginning - the transfer market is going to improve the product of college football in the long haul. The transfer market will eventually show kids the only way to the field is hard work and patience and the kids that don’t possess those qualities will get lost.

You’re showing kids the grass isn’t always greener by letting kids before them hop over the fence.

It was also a vehicle to thin the ranks of scholarship players given that so many got an extra year of eligibility (Covid). They won't have a playing future where they are at, they enter the portal, and the ones that don't get one of the 85 FBS or 63 FCS spots will leave the scholarship world.

I think Donny has some work to do in learning how to recruit at this level. Rhule must see something in him to keep him, but he doesn't appear to have the same chops recruiting some of the other guys on staff do.

He played RT and Center at ASU with all the connections seems like a win win situation should have been able to throw some cash at a guy who can play 2 positions of need. Hopefully we can find out what happened to flip him to Auburn.
