About 2/3 done with the abomination they call beans. It was too dry this year, the yields blow & you can’t start cutting til noon.

Glad the price came up some though. Ready to get over to corn. Yields will still suck though....

7/8ths done with beans. Some outstanding yields (2.9 asgrow were phenomenal) some average yields. Pioneer beans were disappointing. Excited to get going on corn.

dont have crops, calves look pretty good. pulled the october pastures last weekend got 2 more november ones. excited to see what the calves weigh

If cows count....ol Red Finger is hoping for a decent feeder market in a month.....or sooner preferably. I've got everything weened and I'm ready to get cows to stocks. Let's.....freaking....go....baby!

Where do you ranch? My relatives ranch from Stapleton to Thedfford, Mullen, Tryon areas.

Still have the contract in my office, sold 5000 bu. of corn for 9.65/bu. Farming was easy then.

Yeah, tried weening earlier than normal this year. Was hoping to have them ready to sell if the market was/is favorable. I have a feeling I'm going to be holding onto them for a awhile yet. 😑

idk what youre shooting for but 1.43 for 8 weight steers is damn good money. id check out indexes or go sit at a sale and take your own notes and compare

That'd be great. They're a little lighter than that now. My guess would be 650-700. The goal is at least $1000 per head. My heifers kind of suck this year for whatever reason so I'm guessing I'll hold them a little longer.

A few years ago it wasn't all that hard to get $1000/head....if you wanted to sell in the fall. Little different the last few years...my experience anyway.
