esp since we run 2-4-5 pretty much all the time now, d-line is one of the deepest units on the team. Daniels+Stille+Robinson+Rodgers is a pretty damn good rotation even w/o considering Riley or some of the younger dudes.

To be fair...... The two coaches that I have found that started this bad and turned it around went to the Orange and Rose Bowl in year 4.

Kirk Ferentz had 11 wins in first 3 years then went 11-2 with an Orange bowl loss also had a share of the B1G
Barry Alvarez had 11 wins in first 3 years then went 10-1-1 with a Rose bowl win also had a share of the B1G

So we are winning 11 games, Martinez is finishing 2nd in the Heisman voting , we win the west and are playing in a NY 6 bowl game....

All jokes aside, yeah I could see 8-9 wins if we cleaned up 1 or 2 things a game

We have lost 12 games by 8 points or less during the last 3 seasons. If we get a little bit better and clean up some of the mistakes then we are going to win some games this year.

I mean if we can snap the ball and have special teams that doesn't lose us games we are probably a 7-9 win team.

Just having a competent punter and the ability to kick off through the end zone probably nets us a game a year on their own. We have consistently lost the field position battle for three years in a row, even in games we win.

I didn’t even think about special teams. Cam dropping that punt against Cockeye last year, the fuckups against Illinois. We trip over our dicks a lot

We beat Cockeye if we don't drop that punt, Benhart hold on that 30 yds run by 2AM or maaaayyyybeee if Farniok doesn't get his lunch handed to him by Nixon 50 times that game.

That game is so fucking frustrating.

Like all I want from special teams is not to lose us games really. If you make a play and it wins a game, great! Just don't piss our pants infront of the class.

Benhart got tagged w/ a couple ticky tacky holding calls on big Martinez runs last year. Prob just because he’s tall and played high from time to time.

We dick stepped our way a lot last year. Cockeye. 2 red zone picks, missed field goal, and LM noodle arm against NW. 2 turnovers, missed field goal, and garbage holding call against MN. Illinois 5 TOs and one of the worst performances I’ve seen by a P5 QB.
