Game Thread Official Indianus Game Day Thread

This is why fans get nervous when we only beat bad teams by one score. Because it usually means we're not gonna beat good teams. But Rhule gets up on the podium every time and says "what do you guys want?"
We want to not be a shitty football team, coach
It’s great to be able to win close games. The predicate is you must keep the game close, though.

This is the game where i really think the whole "we build the team traditionally" thing loses me. Indianus has significantly less resources and is beating our ass with JMU players and an Ohio QB
This is about coaching.
Sat needs to go
Raiola (coach) needs to be seriously questioned
McGuire needs to go
Foley needs to go

We’re gonna go a full season without scoring more than 28 points against a p4 team. When that happens we’ll be able to tell whether Rhule is serious about winning here.
how did he think satt would outcoach all the top tier assistants in this league with him in the first place?

He says things like “We needed a close game” (paraphrasing). Such a stupid mindset. Go beat mother fuckers into the ground.

Pack the box and make them pass. I'll take the gimpy QB over get ran over again and again. That is just embarrassing.

They want to be a pro style offense without an oline. They have WRs that look the part but can’t block or run routes. And don’t have RBs that can run routes to block.
The o line hasn’t been horrible this year.

I know you didn't say Busch, but people are always rooting for him to be on the staff. Ron Brown is like herpes and can't get rid of him no matter who's the coach. Nebraska is/was a blue blood and we have a WR coach who has no experience in the playing nor coaching the position. I know that R Brown can assist, but Rhule needs to hire better people and the let the kid go and work for his dad at Texas Tech.

I agree. Busch - isn't coming, and I haven't been one of those talking about him. Foley needs to go, but Busch isn't going to be his replacement.

Hiring a literal kid as our WR coach... was dumb. I thought so at the time, although with no evidence about the kid, it's just that a 23/24 yr old kid should NOT be who you hire when trying to turn a program around. Seemed very risky.

Ron Brown was just a suggestion for right now - like this season - for a guy who is excellent coaching WR blocking, and I have to believe overall WR play. But long-term, Brown would not be the pick. Was just talking immediate help, but honestly, these WR's have shown terrible blocking skills all season (same story for about 10 years now), and that is not likely to change with this group of WR's.

I will also say - Satt just isn't good enough. His play calling is telegraphed. Yes, he is hamstrung some by the players we have on the field, but Satt is not ingenious enough to be better than OK IMHO.

Rhule is gonna need to churn some staff if he wants to improve this team.
