Official 2025 Nebraska Cardiac Beaver Slayers Baseball Thread (5-8) - Huskers Rebound, May Win Out

Solid inning there from Horn. When he’s good with his secondary stuff you simply aren’t catching that 95 MPH at the top of the zone

LSU pitcher Evanson is simply not fooling us at the moment. Sanderson just barreled him up there. The only problem was it was right to the LF.

I’m yet to see a Husker hitter get cheated.

Breath of fresh air after last weekend

That was one hell of an at bat by Carey. Yes, he flew out. But he was down 0-2, worked it full, and missed a double and an RBI by 6 inches.

Hell of a battle. Huskers came to play.

That 0-1 pitch to Frost was way down. Should have be 1-1. Then he had to extend his zone and swing there.

First “bad” at bat by a Husker as he goes down on 3 straight to end the inning.

Huskers have gotten the lead off man, had multiple hits, and scored in each inning as we go to the 4th.

Second time through the order and Horn is in his first bit of trouble.

3 doubles in the inning induces a mound visit from Childress. He is one out away from mitigating the damage and getting the Huskers back up to the plate.

Runner on 2B with 2 outs

Horn clearly came into the 5th on a short leash. Retired the first two he say and the 3rd guy ropes a single.

One on and two out for a new pitcher.

Really ugly half inning.

Huskers have struck out in 6 of the last 7 at bats.

Momentum clearly on LSU’s side. Huskers need a quiet inning in the field.

Okay. The strike zone has clearly changed. That 0-0 pitch from Jasa to Stanfield was unequivocally a strike.

Every borderline pitch called in favor of the Huskers this announcing crew has made reference to the robo umpire. Crickets there.

Should be 1-1. Instead it’s 2-0 and the entire AB is different.
