We both know you're not going to play clean ball for 50+ games. It sucks this happened Tuesday night instead of Sunday in game 3 against NW. You say they showed up flat, I say it's baseball & sucks to have happened against an in-state opponent. I don't believe either of us are wrong.

What happens next is now more important. Learn from last night and win this weekends series. Everything is still in front of us.

It definitely isn't a disastrous loss at all. They have a solid team this year and this won't really hurt us one bit. I think the disappointing part was just that we can't seem to match the energy that Pickle Smoochers brings to these games, but I guess that's what happens when one school has the kids with a chip on their shoulder for not being recruited by the other.

Was talking to my brother yesterday about looking back at that ‘05 cws team and how many kids there were from Nebraska. Bolt is slowly starting to keep more kids in state but man Kozeal would’ve been nice to have in the lineup.

Kozeal is Vandy's DH & from Millard South. Full ride to NU wasn't enough.

Fountain from Norris is a 2024 & signed with LSU, but he's expected to be drafted 1st or 2nd round. Committed to Florida State at the end of his 8th grade year.

Most impressive thing about Fountain is the last part you mentioned. Not sure how many kids pan out like he has by being offered in 8th grade and don’t coast the next couple years and have the offer pulled.

Who are the top instructors now days in Nebraska? Anybody in the know?

Fountain was never going to come to nebraska. That was almost a given.

as for Cam, my buddy who is one of his strength coach told me that nebraska gave him a great last pitch offer but idea of playing for vandy in the cws then going pro won out.
