Christo is still in. He's only thrown 73 pitches through 6. Sounds like it was Carey that made that error which led to the 3 run inning. Otherwise it would be 1-1.

Am I the only one who thinks we’re going to be pretty bad this year?? I’ve watched every game & just don’t see anything special. We have the pitching to keep us in a lot of games but they aren’t dominant enough to win games themselves. The bats will struggle to score runs all year imo. We broke the record for most HR’s hit last year and our offense still struggled at times & our offense is far worse than it was last year.

I see a lot of potential other than today. Weird lineup today. Walsh won't be playing first, Jesske won't be DHing most games, at this point Swansen shouldn't be playing and we get Overbeek back in a couple of weeks

I was deathly afraid of who would start games for us this year on the mound. I’m not at all worried now.

I knew the offense would look different. Different doesn’t have to mean bad. Sounds like we were the victim of some bad luck offensively today. Which happens and it’s baseball being baseball.

All in all, I like this team a lot and I didn’t think that I would.

I will say though that the team still needs to come together. We’ve got games where we pitch but don’t hit, or we hit but don’t pitch, etc. Need to put it all together. I’m not worried about it but it sucks to lose like it looks like we might today.

Too many strikeouts. One of our better hitters tries to bunt almost every at bat. Might not have any terrible hitters but also definitely don’t have any dominant ones.
