Official 2024 Nebraska Cardiac Beaver Slayers Baseball Thread (40-22)

We should take the series from msu next week but a sweep will definitely help.

Illinois plays Purdue which I can’t see being a sweep for either team. We go 2-1 next week it’s pretty much guaranteed we end up tie for first if Illinois loses today.
Cockeye winning will improve their RPI as well, which will improve ours

Teams to root for today & over the last weekend
Nebraska, Maryland, Cockeye, Pickle Smoochers (gotta stop their skid), Grand Canyon, College of Charleston, Nicholls & South Alabama.

GCU is on a terror; 12-1 last 13 and have jumped 40-45 RPI spots. 👀

Charleston just won a series over Northeastern, and they remain a Q1.

Nicholls is 9 outs from winning series over Lamar (who swept Oklahoma in Norman)

Definitely want Cockeye to win

I don’t know if I can stomach rooting for Cockeye……..

Today as it only benefits us to be 1st in the standings. They're done with conference play after this game. Next weekend for RPI purposes to remain a Q3.

Whew covered.
