Trotter Harlan among the honorable mentions.
Mathis also picked up a few other preseason accolades, being named a third-team All-American by D1baseball.com and the NCBWA. D1baseball also ranked Mathis sixth in its preseason list of the nation's best first baseman.
Trotter Harlan was also named by the site among the top second baseman in the nation, coming in at #43.
