I believe 5 innings in an official game. At least in the majors.

The good thing here is that you’ve got the rest of the day and evening to play this one as Cockeye doesn’t have to get on a bus or plane to get home tonight.

Home team winning = 4 1/2 innings completes a game.

Visiting team winning = must play 5 complete innings.

I'm not aware of the above being any different for 2024.

I will be surprised if they call this game because we have an available day tomorrow. It could be suspended and resumed tomorrow as I don't believe Cockeye has a drop dead travel time since they took a bus. And I'm sure that's what Heller is going to push for.

We have 2 midweek games coming up, so I'd rather not resume this on Sunday then play another one after then Tuesday, Wednesday and on the road next weekend at Minnesota. That's 7 games in 7 days (9 in 9). Not ideal for any college team.

Bolt can put his foot down here and I hope he does. We either resume it tonight or the game is official. Fuck resuming it on Sunday.

As long as nothing reforms to the south they should be able to play but it won’t be until close to 1 by that time. Im guessing the way the forecast looks though it’s going to keep building.

The lack of information coming out of Lincoln kind of makes me wonder if they are trying to reschedule to a different mid-week day or different weekend? Since Cockeye can bus here I would think that’s a possibility as long as the conference office signs off on it. I think that’s dumb, but it feels like they are looking at something like that.
