October Recruiting Thread

A guy Wiltfong mentioned in that article - a later bloomer by the name of Drevyn Seamon from Missouri. Supposedly having a great senior season right now. Ran a 10.66 100M at the Kansas Relays when he was a sophomore. No profile as yet on the recruiting services.

Nice crop of prospects visiting Nebraska this weekend for Buttgers game

Nebraska (4-1) coach Matt Rhule and his staff will host over 40 recruits for Saturday’s Big Ten showdown with undefeated Buttgers (4-0).

The Huskers have done a lot of the heavy lifting thus far in the 2025 class and will welcome back a lot of their commitments. Running back commit Conor Booth returns. Athlete commit Jackson Carpenter has been a regular. He was at the program’s 400th consecutive sellout a couple Saturdays ago.

“The environment was electric,” Carpenter said. “It was the 400th consecutive sellout so the stadium was packed and the fans brought the energy. I’m blessed to have an opportunity to play there and can’t wait to be a part of it all.

“I think something special is brewing in Lincoln!”

Linebacker commits Pierce Mooberry and Christian Jones feel the same way and they’ll be back in Lincoln. Mooberry left the win over Colorado raving about the experience.

“Man that was the most electric and hype game I’ve ever been to!” he said at the time. “It was so loud every defensive snap and it was insane! It excites me to be able to play for this fan base in the years to come and have that kinda of support! Defense was also phenomenal!”

Defensive line commits Kade Pietrzak and Tyson Terry are expected. As is four-star receiver commit Isaiah Mozee and safety Caden Vermaas.

Nebraska is bringing in an interesting playmaker this weekend in Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge athlete Drevyn Seamon. He has 10.6 speed in the 100m dash and used those wheels to score 15 touchdowns as a junior. He’s having a strong senior season.

Strong crop of 2026 prospects coming

Buford (Ga.) High On300 defensive lineman Bryce Perry-Wright is one of the headliners. Four-star offensive tackles Maxwell Robinson and Kaden Snyder are two more exciting point-of-attack prospects.

Nebraska is the early On3 RPM favorite for a couple targets. The Huskers offered 6-2 receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte in camp back in June. St. Louis (Mo.) University safety Keenan Harris is back after a great visit at the end of July.

A few other intriguing 2026s expected include linebacker Colsen Gatten out of Pittsburgh, offensive tackle Claude Mpouma out of Chicagoland and explosive receiver Devyon Hill-Lomax out of Edwardsville, Ill. Hill-Lomax is a 6-foot-8 high jumper.

Underclassmen on the list

Touted 2027 quarterback Trae Taylor is one the big names on campus this weekend. He has national offer list.

A couple in-state prospects Nebraska has offered and lead on the On3 RPM for are running back Kylonn Haynie and safety Tory Pittman.

If this kid continues to develop, he should never strap on pads for the Big Red. That being said, I'm totally cool with watching him run 9 routes while Dylans soon-to-be-discovered illegitimate yet more gifted little brother throws him darts en route to a new single season TD record.

Would make more money playing football compared to running track.
