Fine, we'll take em.

Agreed, but I’ve been wondering for a while why we don’t seem to see in state guys like John Parrella, Kent Wells, Jared Crick, Baker Steinkhuler or Ben Stille, coming into P4 level football out of the state of Nebraska?

I know we’ve had a few guys over the last fifteen to twenty years on the roster, but it seems to have slowed down considerably.

Maybe I’ve just watched Husker football for so long, it seems like we’ve almost always had a guy or two that could start on the DL from in state and it’s just a combination of 50+ years of football mixed with too many blows to the head.

We hope Tyson Terry will be that guy, right?

I certainly do and I think there are a lot of folks that think he’s got the ceiling to be.

It’s an old fashioned notion, but I’ve always taken a pride in seeing very good offensive or defensive lineman coming from Nebraska. It shouldn’t matter, but it my mind it does because I know the odds a kid from Cozad is up against to just play D1 football, much less be a stud at Nebraska.
