Say he gets dropped to $500k, in the ballpark of what Barthel and Dvoracek make. He’s probably going to be hard pressed to find a job outside of the Power 4 that will pay him more to be its OC. (According to Grok, the highest paid OC in the G5 in 2024 was our old friend Danny Langsdorf at Temple at $504k.)

And I don’t see any P4 schools hiring him as OC, but I could be wrong, I guess.

I don’t see Satt moving on unless Rhule wants him to, and I don’t see that happening.

Not sure who’s the main recruiter for TE but if satt is able to land Hudson and tewiliger I would gladly keep him.

To your first paragraph, I repeat my I initial question. Where is he going to go that will pay him more than $500-650k? Dropping from 1.4 to 600k is one thing. I think he’d have to go below that if he wants to move back closer to family. Getting paid more than 600k would require a P4 OC job, which I don’t think anyone will give him.

Secondly, what makes you think Satt isn’t doing a bang up job as TE coach? Why do we need an upgrade there? Luke L seems to be having a great season. Former QB HH is contributing there. I don’t subscribe to the “he was a terrible OC therefore we need to fire him as TE coach” theory.
