I saw a guy get his finger stripped off by an Apache helicopter's 30mm gun belt because his dumbass didn't take his ring off. He was teaching some new souljas on loading dummy rounds and got it caught...pulled the finger meat right off. Brutal stuff. They show you pictures and stuff in your initial training and it's basically 101 stuff to take any rings off, but it happened...crazy.

Also, somewhat similar yet very off topic for this original thread...a different guy in my unit was loading rounds on a live gunnery and his middle finger got caught in the gun belt and the tip of his finger literally popped off and flew about 15 feet in the air. He casually walked over and picked the finger tip up and walked off and said he was gonna go see the medic. It was gnarly haha.

I told my wife to just got to Bass Pro and get me some silicon rings a long time ago.

as much as his football team has been pissing me off lately I hope this isn't true. I have heard his wife doesn't like it here though....from somewhere out west, I want to say Arizona. might miss warmer pastures, but when there's kids involved its a sad deal.
