New schedule with no divisions is about to be released

With an unequal amount of home and away games plus the chance for strength of conference schedule to be wildly different I wonder if eventually they have to create some sort of power rankings to determine standings. (Or just add more teams to get to 4 divisions)
power rankings that supersede record are the last thing we want. that would pretty much guarantee UM/tOSU/USC in the championship game every year

Before the new schedules, Nebraska was slated to play @Michigan, Ohio State and @Penn State, with consecutive games in 2024, with a bye week between Ohio State and Penn State .. 2024 is much more favorable now .. But 2025 will be a monster ..

We will be a monster program again 2025 though, so it makes sense

I thought we played Tennessee beginning in 2025. Was curious enough to look it up. We don’t. That starts in 2026…BUT…we do play @ Cincinnati in 2025.

What do we gain by going to Cincinnati? I swear our athletic department sometimes… 🤬

It was a quote from Alberts back in March, in which he said, "I think the one thing we can recognize is this: It doesn't matter what model we come up with in scheduling. Every team is looking at their schedule saying, 'Oh my gosh.' And so that's what I said this morning to my coaches. We're in the Big Ten. We're adding USC and UCLA. There's no model that you're going to find where you're going to say, 'Oh good, this is a (easy) winnable schedule.' Every single week is going to be a dogfight.

"And that's why when we talked about this coaching change, the attention to detail is going to be so critically important because these games are going to be won or lost on very thin margins. And that's where I'm confident that Coach Rhule and his staff are going to help us navigate that."

Cockeye will not be having much fun that year.

Anyone know if the Big Ten is gonna stick to this gay thing they do where we play a conference game in week one?

I think they should get rid of that, and then we can schedule Colorado as a permanent week one game

In here talking about 2024 and 2025. Can’t we just focus on how stressful this season is going to be.
