New Commit New Nebrasketball Grad Transfer

Instant impact player on a team that already has some pieces. Banton had more upside, but this kid is a much better player right now. Big pick up!
I'm not sure that's true either. Maybe my expectations from him were too high but he has a long ways to go shooting. He showed flashes but overall he was pretty disappointing.

While I think he will absolutely make an impact, I think most need to probably check their expectations. As an ASU alumni, I've watched a lot of ASU basketball the past couple of years, but there were very few players I've seen that were more frustrating than Verge. Insanely stupid shot selection at times, dumb dumb turnovers(in volume too), and at times a big time lack of effort...I think he's gonna be a prime target for RSS meltdowns, but I'm hoping Hoiberg can get him working up to his potential, which is very high.

Lots going on ITT. I'll choose the middle and say he's pretty damn good, but then again he can be pretty frustrating.

For real though it's hard for laymen to know how someone will project. I'd think if anyone could maximize his talents, it'd be HCFH.

Welcome to N!

Some of his turnovers or volume shooting might be negated somewhat by Hoiberg’s system and culture.
Hurley can coach but he’s an asshole.
I will kill for that man(until he gets fired in 2 years).

He'll fit right in!

I'd like to go on record as saying that I was never very high on Banton. Not a great shooter, not a confident player, not great with the ball in his hands.

Sounds like this guy should be in the role I thought Teddy should’ve been in. Come off the bench & is a guy with the nuts & bolts to put up shots while our offense catches a breather

Hopefully they can convince this guy to mostly penetrate (hehe) to collapse the defense and then kick out to shooters. One thing that Nebraska really missed last year was a guy who could draw defenders onto him in the paint and open up easy looks from outside.
Teddy was good at getting to the rim, his only problem was he didn't like to kick it out
